We are thrilled to introduce you all today to the stunning Melbourne based fashion label Gwendolynne. One of the first things that attracted us to this beautiful label is the concept behind the dresses. We love the fact that Gwendolynne remains true to her own sense of style and obsession with creating beautiful unique, vintage style designs, rather than following seasonal trends which pass us by. The fabric used in each piece is delicate, incorporating antique style trimmings leaving the person wearing the garment feeling incredible. Gwendolynne’s dresses have been worn by many celebrities and featured all over the world on the major catwalks and fashion arenas. We cant wait to show you her dresses in our Melbourne fashion parade on 25th August 2013 and after you see the stunning works you will know what were talking about!!

Going on a bike ride & having a picnic…wine…cheese

What inspired you to start your business?
The love of beautiful things

What do you love about weddings?
I love the grooms first look at the bride and you see the sparkle in his eye.

Goose and Jones + One Fine Day

We love a beautifully styled event here at One Fine Day and none are more beautiful then events styled by the gals behind Goose and Jones.Sally and Kim are a team of gorgeous people, mostly stylish. Always reliable and passionate, and obviously hard working with a keen eye for detail.Browsing through the images of their previous work it’s easy to see how their clients remain friends long after the vows have been said. To be able to style an event that is so true to a couples personality takes a lot of time and effort. We think these two nail it every time!

What is your definition of one fine day ?

Hmm….A day of exploring, discovering all sorts of lovely new things. Stopping to smell the roses. Chai in hand. Sun on our face.

What inspired you to start your business?

Encouragement from friends & family who completely believed in what we were capable of creating.

What do you love about weddings?

The happy tears. The masses of flowers. The air of excitement & love & anticipation.

Colour?

Way too hard to choose just one. Sometimes pink, sometimes green, always navy blue.

Beverage?

Bubbles. And then some more bubbles.

Season?

Spring. The crisp mornings with baby pink apple blossom on the trees. The longer days filled with sunshine & fresh air.

City?

Paris. So cool. So understated. So French.

Here at One Fine Day headquarters we love discovering new and exciting industry folk. And the fact that we are taking the fair to Melbourne has given us the opportunity to meet a whole new bunch of creatives (and then introduce them to YOU!). Bianca from miki.o fits right into that bunch of people. Passionate, talented and super enthusiastic about what she does. A perfect One Fine Day family member!

Biancas aim is to create clean, simple and quirky invitation suites, no frills or unnecessary bells and whistles. We think she nails it every time with her gorgeous designs. Drawing inspiration from travel, geometry, objects and nature, miki.o is sure to have a design to suit your wedding and is well worth having a chat to as every design can be customised.

What is your definition of one fine day ?

My definition of one fine day is a beautiful day in spring, when everything is green and you can smell summer in the air. A day with blue skies and a warm breeze, a day to be outside for a walk and picnic in the park with my partner and dog.

What inspired you to start your business?

I enjoy being creative and I love working with people. As an invitation designer I get to do both! It’s so exciting to be creating beautiful paper products for someone’s special day and the couples I work with are so lovely!

What do you love about weddings?

I love the smiles and happy atmosphere, a day to celebrate with friends and family and bringing everyone together.

Aria + One Fine Day Sydney

Good food is the essential accompaniment to any celebration so when it comes to your special day you want an industry leader and today’s post profiles just that- ARIA Catering. We have been at many, many functions over our time with ARIA as the caterers and it’s very clear to us what a difference it makes having them at your event. With their wealth of experience, talent and creativeness we are thrilled to have them back to showcase at our next fair in September at Sun Studios. There are whispers around the office about the offerings they will have available for us to sample, but we will have to wait until the 14th & 15th September 2013 for the surprise to be unveiled. What inspired you to start your business?
ARIA Catering was launched in Sydney in November 2010 by Matt Moran and Peter Sullivan, owners and operators of ARIA Sydney and CHISWICK in Woollahra. After many requests from restaurant regulars, ARIA Catering was launched offering catering for events and private functions in and around Sydney.

What do you love about weddings?
The creativity and flair that clients are bringing to their special day, wanting to make it a day that not only they will remember, but one none of their guests will forget!
