Today we introduce to you Casandra from Caspix Photography. If you were lucky enough to have visited Caspix at One Fine Day you would not only have seen her beautiful work but also realised what a genuine and caring lady she is. It’s very important to get on with your photographer and Casandra is one easy person to click with. She prefers to be on the fringes of your wedding so she can capture all the details as it unfolds. Casandra is also the vice president of heartfelt which we think is such a great organisation. You can get to know her a bit better over at her blog and see her answers below to our Q&A!
Getting to know you:
I am a mother, wife and photographer and spend my days travelling, eating and being merry! I feel very lucky to spend my days shooting gorgeous weddings and portraits everywhere.
What is your definition of ‘A Fine Day’?
Dark red woollen capes, feathers, warm sun followed by afternoon sun showers, bare feet, the roof down, red chillies and a boat trip … oh and a nap! Sounds a lot like my wedding day
What inspires you to be such an awesome, creative vendor?
I am inspired by modern culture and watching people commit themselves forever to their loved ones. Australian brides are so confident with their weddings and each couple have their own incredible story to be told, with all these amazing details and it is my job to capture it all.
What do you love the most about what you do?
It is incredible to spend so much time with each family on one of the most special days of their lives. It really does feel like you become part of the family for a day and I get to witness so much love and commitment, happiness and partying! Best day of anyone’s life.
What did you want to be when you grow up?
Yep. Still a photographer. In this life and the next.
Fav thing about weddings?
Lots of moments! When Dad sees his daughter all dressed up, when the bride sees herself in the mirror all ready to be married, when the groom sees his wife coming down the aisle but most of all, the amazing party after it has all happened.
How would you describe your particular style?
I prefer to be more of an observer than participant in the wedding day. I am there but I on the fringes. This allows me to get in the zone and anticipate those really special moments that happen around you. It also allows me to get those truly amazing candid photographs of all the joy and emotion around me.
