Vendor Spotlight. Aleksandra

We are so excited to have one of Sydneys most creative and talented floral artists Aleksandra on board for One Fine Day. Aleksandra creates bespoke handwritten and illustrative penmanship pieces (think gorgeous placecards, menus and guest seating charts). Her floral work is so organically beautiful, using the freshest of blooms Aleks creates installations that are always the talking point of any wedding she is involved in.

Here is Alek’s super sweet answers to our Q and A.

What is your definition of ‘A Fine Day’?
One fine day, is where you are at peace and enjoying THE moment. It’s when you feel the love of life and those around you.
And ….there’s nothing like a little sunshine to make it even finer!

What inspires you to be such an awesome, creative vendor?
The beauty of Nature and unexpected compositions in the landscape. And… Instagram!!!! (my ongoing obsession)

What do you love the most about what you do?

The flowers, their scents and the memories they hold.
A brand new felt tip pen and a blank page.

What did you want to be when you grow up?
If I weren’t with flowers, I would be with food.

Fav thing about weddings?
I do love a Bouquet, for when else do you get an excuse to hold something truly beautiful? Candlelight, the sense of celebration, and of course, the first dance! How would you describe your particular style? Natural beauty lovingly arranged and handcrafted.

Just quickly……….

Grey scale or colour?
Colour-but also of combination and contrast!

summer or winter?
Nothing beats the sunshine on a Sydney summers day!

blogs or mags?
A beautiful magazine is so tactile, and usually kept archived and collected.

Still or sparkling?
Sparkling with a good squeeze of fresh lime and a handful of mint!

cupcakes or brownies?
A homemade… gooey…. nutty. …brownie!

tea or coffee?
I have just planted my first ever peppermint! Making cups of tea is a real joy, picked straight from the herb garden and infused into steaming hot water….
The taste is out of this world and there’s no tea bag!

city or country?
My heart breaks into two. (The best of both worlds). Both of which I could easily get accustomed to.

Gossip girl or Q and A?
Does Q and A come with Chuck Bass?!
